Your information

Privacy Policy

What Notelyf collects, why we use it, and the choices you have over your information.

Last updated October 2, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information created while you use Notelyf, and limited technical information needed to run the service.

  • Account details such as your name, email address, profile image, and sign-in provider.
  • Workspace content such as notes, tasks, schedules, settings, widget layouts, messages, and files you choose to add.
  • Study-room and shared-Space activity such as membership, presence, chat, invitations, reports, and room settings.
  • Device, browser, security, diagnostic, and usage information, including IP address and interaction events.
  • Billing status and transaction identifiers from our payment provider. Notelyf does not receive your full card number.
  • Information from integrations you connect, such as the permissions and account data needed to provide Google sign-in or Spotify features.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, secure, and maintain Notelyf.
  • Save and sync your workspace, settings, subscriptions, and room participation.
  • Send essential account, security, billing, and service messages.
  • Troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, understand product use, and improve features.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Sharing and visibility

We share information with vendors that help us operate authentication, hosting, email, payments, error monitoring, Spotify connections, and live study rooms. They may process information only for the services they provide to us.

Other people can see information you intentionally place in a public room, shared Space, chat, invitation, or other collaborative area. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or the service, or as part of a business transfer.

4. Live audio and video

When you turn on your microphone or camera in a study room, audio and video are transmitted to provide the live session. Mic and camera controls are optional. Other participants may still capture what you share using their own devices, so only share what you are comfortable showing.

5. Cookies and local storage

Notelyf uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect sessions, and make core features work. Connected services may set their own cookies under their privacy policies.

6. Retention and your choices

We keep information for as long as needed to provide your account, meet legal and security requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain legitimate business records. Retention periods vary by the type of information.

You can edit or remove much of your content in Notelyf and disconnect optional integrations. You may email us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information. We may need to verify your account and may retain information when legally required.

7. Security and age

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, but no online service can promise absolute security. Notelyf is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Notelyf changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we handle personal information.
